Jinx is a world premier production written by Company Member Basia Kapolka, adapted from the novel by Théophile Gautier.
Rational and urbane Paul d'Aspremont arrives in Naples to visit his convalescing fiancée, Miss Alicia Ward. After winning her heart in northern climates, Paul finds his love challenged by Neapolitan superstitions, especially those of a handsome Italian count who, determined to win Alicia for himself, convinces her uncle that Paul has the evil eye. Beset by concern for Alicia's health, Paul begins to suspect that he might, indeed, be a jinx.
